THINGS TO DO AND SEE
in Ripoll
Santa Maria de Ripoll Monastery

Guided tour revealing the history of the monastery, founded by Wilfred the Hairy in 879 and which reached its height of splendour in the times of Abbot Oliba. Its vault is the final resting place of Wilfred the Hairy, Ramon Berenguer III and Bernat Tallaferro, among other important figures.

In terms of its artistic offering, we should highlight its 12th century portico: one of the most important Romanesque monuments in the world. Visitors will also discover the beauty of the cloister and the magnificent sculpture work of its capitals.
